Miami stuns Terps with second-half comeback win
It happened to the Terps again. This time in ACC play.
One week after blowing a 14-point second-half lead vs. Morgan State, the Terps blew a 17-point second-half lead at Miami and lost to the Hurricanes, 62-60.
Baltimorean Jack McLinton from Calvert Hall hit a three-pointer to put Miami up by the final margin with :24 seconds left. Grevis Vasquez missed two three-pointers for the lead in the final seconds as Maryland fell to 12-4, 1-1 in the ACC.

The Terps offense was red-hot early and Maryland went up by 12 at the half. The Terps expanded that lead to 17, 52-35, with 12:32 left. Miami then hit a barrage of three-pointers to come back and outscored Maryland 27-8 down the stretch. The Terps made just four field goals in the final 12:30.
Miami made 10-22 three-pointers on the night. The Canes hit seven treys in the final 10:30 as the comeback was on. The Terps failed to stop the long-range shooting and saw a lead of 14 points with 10:15 left and seven points with 2:48 remaining evaporate.
Now we'll find out if the stunned Terps can regroup in time to beat Florida State in Tallahassee on Saturday at Noon.
Adrian Bowie, who played point guard most of the game, scored a career-high 23 points on 10-15 shooting. Vasquez added 15 while Landon Milbourne scored 8 with 7 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.

Maryland hit 5 of its first 7 shots and led 21-12 midway through the first half on its way to a 35-23 edge at intermission. Maryland shot 50.0 percent in the first half and 43.9 percent for the contest.
