Need some help!

What else can LeBron James do? Seriously, in last night's 116-114 overtime loss to Orlando, the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar dropped 44 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and doled out 7 assists. And yet it wasn't enough. After finishing with the best record in the NBA this season, the Cavs find themselves down 3 games to 1 and on the verge of elimination.
It's certainly not LeBron's fault. During the regular season, LeBron accounted for 28% of the Cavs scoring, but now he's scoring 41% of Cleveland's points. That's ridiculous. Lebron's teammates need to step up.
Point guard Mo Williams, who actually made the All-Star team this year, talked some smack guaranteeing a win before Game 4. That's bravado but did he back it up? Not at all. Instead, he watched "Skip to My Lou" Rafer Alston score 26 points, including six 3-pointers. And what did Mo Williams do in Game 4? How about he missed 10 of 15 shots and didn't hit even one 3-pointer. Pathetic! In fact, Mo has connected on just 39% of his shots during the series. If the Cavs are going to come back to win this series, they'll need Mo to play mo' better.
Beyond that, the Cavs' bench has been atrocious. Through four games, Cleveland's bench has contributed all of 41 points. That translates to less than 11 points per game from their bench. Woeful!
But what could you expect? Joe Smith has been their leading scorer off the bench averaging 3.5 points per game. I love Joe Smith. I loved him at Maryland. I'm an alum. But there's a reason he's been on 11 NBA teams. Great college player. Mediocre pro.
Besides the former Terp, Cleveland has had next to nothing off the bench. Sasha Pavlovic has scored 9 points in 4 games. Ben Wallace and Daniel Gibson have contributed 8 points each and Wally Szcerbiak has scored one basket. Abysmal!
If it weren't for LeBron's heroic three at the buzzer in Game 2, this series would be over. And though the games have been close, it's only because LeBron has been so damn good. But Lebron can't win this series on his own. As Lurch's old bookie Dickie used to say, "Need some help!"

"If the Cavs are going to come back to win this series, they'll need Mo to play mo' better."
I stopped reading after this line.
As a former California JUCO star, I believe that I could help the Cav's get to the next level. Only, if I could get my ankles healthy that is. Also, don't sleep on Brandon Lang and his killer NBA three point percentage he could be a major contributor in bench points!

You "need some help" Flaim...professional help.
When I saw the title "Need Some Help!" I though JP was going to write about how he never gets to work on time.
Things JP needs help with:
1. Finishing his 800 page book.
2. Setting his alarm clock.
3. Finding headphones that don't fall off his micro-head.
4. Making it through a show without talking about how many miles he ran or how many pushups he can do...or how small is waist is.
5. Getting taller
JP:
Could you not think of anything original? Did you not notice that EB had written a post about LeBron?
You're such a donk!!!
Lurch's fantasy baseball post was more appealing than this post.
I don't understand, if Lebron's teammates are so bad how did they have the best record in the NBA? I don't understand... if Lebron's teammates are so bad, why was the offense so fluid when the Mike Brown actually did something innovative and use James off the ball, instead of when the offense stalled late in the 4th/overtime when everything was run through "King" (lol) James. No excuses. When Kobe used to score 40 and lose he was ridiculed mercilessly. Don't blame the other players, especially when Delonte West beasted out in isolation situations, until they stopped running plays through him. James is a sublime talent and is posting astonishing numbers, but if this team was good enough to have THE BEST RECORD IN THE NBA ALL SEASON LONG, then they are good enough not to take all the blame in this series. Sorry, but the King aint the King yet. Peace.
It's a 1 on 5 game. The rest of the supporting cast is dreadful. New Jersey Nets, here he comes. Mo Williams makes Yi Jianlian look like James Worthy to LeBron's Magic.
...the "Bucketlist" would have been a more interesting post. Go Run with the Bulls and get trampled Rick!!!!!
Finally you get a Roosevelt grad, Delonte West, who makes it to the playoffs and you dont even mention him! Pathetic high school!
Mr. Flaim,
Please slow down. RRRick.
