Another pick gets a deal done
The Ravens inked a deal with another draft pick, signing running back Cedric Peerman, the team's sixth-rounder, to a three-year contract worth $1.2 million.
Peerman's deal includes a $78,000 signing bonus.
He now officially joins a crowded backfield that includes Willis McGahee, Ray Rice and Le'Ron McClain.
Peerman, an ordained minister who has impressed coaches with his strong work ethic, has said he's willing to do whatever it takes to help the team, and if that means seeing action only on special teams, he'll gladly accept that role.
So far in minicamps, he's shown a nice burst coming out of the backfield and we've seen glimpses of the speed that registered a 4.45 40-yard dash at the Combine.
Peerman joins fifth-round tight end Davon Drew as the only drafted Ravens to have signed contracts.

Man, if only we could somehow move McGahee. I remember some pundits saying the Ravens got a potential steal in Peerman when we nabbed him that late. I would love to see a Rice/Peerman/Parmele combo with McClain at fullback this year. I know Willis can do it all, but his work ethic, or lack thereof, just hasn't done anything to help the team. And he doesn't seem like a John Harbaugh type of player.
