Even more moves (updated)
GM Ozzie Newsome is working overtime today.
After signing fifth-round linebacker Jason Phillips and releasing cornerbacks Anwar Phillips and David Jones earlier in the day, the Ravens announced a couple additional moves.
Baltimore has signed linebacker Tony Fein, one of the 10 players who tried out for the team at this week's rookie camp.
The Ravens also released quarterback Drew Willy and linebacker/defensive end Luis Vasquez, two undrafted rookies who were with the team throughout the offseason minicamps.
Fein is a rookie, but he's got a bit more life experience than your usual first-year player. He enlisted in the Army at 19, served two and a half years (part of which was in Iraq), and will turn 27 this July.
He's currently 6-foot-3, 245-pounds, but Fein played quarterback in high school. He decided to make the change to linebacker after returning from his time in the military and realizing his big frame couldn't cut it under center anymore.
Fein attended Scottsdale Community College and made a name for himself at linebacker before making the leap to D-I ball at Ole Miss.
27-years-old and getting his first shot in the NFL. Great story, and I'm sure Fein will have a lot of people pulling for him at training camp.
