Dear Gary and Buck,
I was watching the game the other night, and I happened to blurt out that one of the pitchers could really "Hurl the Pearl". It was greeted with quite the positive feedback, and I thought that if you wanted to try it out on the air I would be tickled to hear it spoken by someone else. So......if you want to give it a try, be my guest. I live in Chicago, and we have the MLB package so we get to see just about every game.
Thank you for your time.
I would have added Jim Palmer to list of awardees. Very happy to hear that Jim Hunter's name was not mentioned.
There is just something about Buck's voice I can not stand. When he is one, I listen to the radio.
Oh well, I'm sure we all have our favorites.
Gary-
I have, for many years, considered you to be one of the best all-around sports announcers on the air. But, I have to say, for a lawyer and educated person, you drive me up the wall when you pronounce Jorge Posada's name Jorde Posada. You do it every single time; and it makes you appear illiterate.
