Wow, Riemold in the 5th spot. I love it.
See you all at the game!
Gotta try something...we are not scoring again...Riemold 5th..protected by Scott...good move..it is nice to have DH back again. I bet the National like the DH too.
Nice, What took so long.
Love that move great job, I know Mora has a lot of pride but you need power in the 5th spot. I do not think it is doing Wieters any favor having Mora and Dina around him
FINALLY!
Allelujah!!!!!! Neurons are starting to fire in DT's head. I'd still start Ty and Oscar over Aubrey and Scott but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day. Baby steps it is.
Tettleton says
"The O's are not and were not supposed to become some sort of dynasty this year. Improvement was expected sure but not some powerhouse"
Well HELLLLLOOOOOOOO
We are doing worse! The farther we get into McFails "plan" the worse we fall in the standings.
Griswold: Hallelujah, holy ****!
It's a beautiful day, Roch. Loving that lineup.
See everyone at the game!
It's about time, although I'd rather see him hit behind Wieters.
Its about time Mora got lowered in the lineup, it only took almost three months into the season to realize it.
I agree with Jared, I like this line-up. Roch, I know you've talked about not putting too much pressure on Reimold by moving him up, but he looks pretty protected between Huff and Scott and if the kid carries all the confidence he should have from how well he's played I think he'll do well.
Yes, I really like that lineup.
I would like to see jones down in the order for a few games but who would you bat 2nd?
Why is Mora even in the game? I know he is getting paid ALOT. He is 3-4 wasted at bats.
It's about frickin' time.
I like the looks of that line up, pretty solid top to bottom. I have always liked Jones in the 2 spot. It will be interesting to see how Reimold will perform at #5.
I heard Trembley on the Anita Marks show talking about the move. He didn't try to hide it... He said he was looking for more run production out of that 5th spot. I love it. Long overdue.
Maybe they can knock Detweiler out early an get a righty out of the bullpen.Would have liked to seen Salazar tonight,Scott's slump usually last longer than his hot streaks but he loves CY.
It was funny to read the release from MASN yesterday saying the interleague Nat/s O's broadcast is popular. I can't stand it,particualy Carpenter, what a homer and crybaby. He's needs a Prozac after every out.I don't mind Dibble all that much because he gives an honest opinion.
I think Hill's pitching career is on a very short leash. He just doesn't have the arm strength or durability to be a consistent starter.Same with Koji but they both have to be nursed because no one else is ready but Hernandez. The funny thing about Koji is he didn't go to the doctors office, the doctor is coming to see him at the stadium. How can he tell what's wrong there? Portable MRI?
I agree that he(Mora) needs to be below Wieters. I'd even support him being benched. I personally think he is history and we need to start preparing for it. Salazar plays a highly respectable 3b.
Hey Roch:
Aren't you glad most of the idiots above aren't managing? "Oh yeah, the guy might be a slow starter but who cares...let's not give him a chance to be at the top of his game, let's start changing the lineup immediately."
Hey kids, one of the few places conservatism actually works is baseball...the game has been played the same way since it broke off from town ball. A lot of sudden moves just make you banned from baseball for awhile...just ask George Steinbrenner and his losing Yankees of the '80s.
I think that would be very disrespectful to Mora to bat him behind Wieters, and Trembley would never do that. You have to at least give Mora the chance to turn it around before you bat him behind a rookie that isn't hitting all that well either. I think Trembley has a little more class than that. I could see it if we were fighting for a playoff spot, but he's not going to pull the rug out of under one of the longest tenured veterans now. I think he did the right thing moving him down in the line up, give him a chance to get his swing back if he can. Maybe he should have done it a little sooner, but I understand.
Roch,
Does Trembley read your Blog??? Drop Mora in the order, bring Riemold up in the order... After you wrote you don't agree with his batting order he changes the next night... You have more pull then you realize brother.
