Olsen's tremendous outing goes for naught
Left-hander Scott Olsen tossed seven solid innings in his first start since coming off the disabled list.
Olsen allowed two runs on six hits, struck out seven and didn't walk a batter. Six of the seven K's came after the third.
He threw 94 pitches, 66 for strikes. That comes out 70 percent. Olsen retired 13 of the last 14 Marlins before turning the game over to the bullpen.
Olsen threw first-pitch strikes to 16 of 26 with his fastball topping out at 91. He struggled early with his curve, but gained control as the game went on.
His changeup kept the Marlins free-swingers off-balance and he used his slider to strike out five of the seven.
Unfortunately, Ron Villone gave up a run on a sac fly and Julian Tavarez walked in another in the eight as the Nationals lost their seventh straight game to the Marlins this season, 4-2.

Could we have in 2010 a three lefties 2 righties rotation maybe like this with stephen strasberg once he signs with the Nationals
John Lannan
Jordan Zimmerman
Stephen Strashberg
Ross Detwiler
Scott Olsen
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's possible. I think you have to add Stammen, Martis and Balester in the mix as well as possibly Mock. Pete
Would Scott Olsen for 2010 be a 4th or 5th starter and i just went online on the mlb trade rumors is their still any other players involved in this trade?
