Angels use O's miscue and big 8th to beat the Birds, 11-4
On a night the Orioles blew a 4-0 lead and lost, the defeat stung even worse because the Birds let the go ahead run score on a pop up to right field that should have been caught, but wasn't.
After moving ahead by one, LA piled it on with a six-run 8th for an 11-4 win.
Trailing 4-0 heading to the last of the 5th, LA came up with three runs vs. Jason Berken and Matt Albers to get back in the game.
In the Angels' 7th, they scored twice to move ahead. LA loaded the bases with no outs vs. Danys Baez. One run scored when Vladimir Guerrero hit into a double play.
Then, with two out and a runner on third, Juan Rivera hit a pop up to shallow right. Brian Roberts went out after the ball, and, at the last minute, looked up expecting Nick Markakis to be there for the catch. Markakis was not in position to make a play and the ball dropped in. Rivera got credit for an RBI single and LA led 5-4.
The Angels scored six in the 8th to turn the game into a rout. In that inning, Torii Hunter had a two-run single and Guerrero hit a three-run homer.
Baez took the loss. Starter Jason Berken gave up seven hits and three runs over four innings, throwing 85 pitches.
Adam Jones went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI. Roberts doubled twice with an RBI.
The O's are 1-2 on this road trip and have lost five of seven and eight of 12 games.
The Angels are now 15-6 in their last 21 games.

I think Trembley needs to rest these guys more. They are playing sloppy, unsound baseball. It is the worst way to lose that there is.
I have done a 180 on Trembley in a week. I think his time is very near an end. Its not the losing its the way we are losing.
There has to be a punishment for playing this way. And the bench is really the only one we have.
