Colome elects free agency
Right-handed reliever Jesus Colome, who was designated for assignment last Saturday, has rejected his assignment and is now a free agent.

Colome was 1-1 with a 8.40 ERA in 16 games for the Nationals this season. In 15 innings, he allowed 23 hits, 14 runs, walked six and struck out 12.
In his two-plus season with the Nationals, Colome went 8-4 with a 4.50 ERA and a save.
His last outing with Washington, July 3, sealed his fate. Colome gave up a pinch-hit, three-run homer and suffered the loss in the Braves 9-8 win.
Colome walked two batters before giving up the eventual game-winner.

Should the Nationals do a minor league trade like we did for Jhonny Nunez and Alberto Gonzalez trade what you think?
Thanks

I wouldn't. Guzman may not be here come the trade deadline
I believe this piece of news is what you call 'Christmas in July' for Nats fans.
All 5(?) of us.

Yes it is. I think I counted 12
Sean:
The title of Pete's post is "Colome elects free agency". You can't trade free agents.
