Dukes sent to AAA
The Nationals optioned outfielder Elijah Dukes to Triple-A Syracuse, making room on the 25-man roster for outfielder Nyjer Morgan and left-hander Sean Bunrett.
Dukes has struggled both in the field this season, despite leading the team with 10 assists, and at the plate, batting just .198 with two homers and six RBI in 23 games in June.
Tune into Nats Xtra on MASN 2 at 11:30 a.m. for more from Johnny Holliday, Ray Knight and Debbie Taylor, who is at Land Shark Stadium, for more on the Dukes demotion

I understand the move... obviously no one wants Kearns and the team doesn't want to eat his monster salary... with that being said... do you see Dukes being moved sometime soon?
I'm not sure what team would be interested in him... but if we're changing culture... he seems like a person they'd want out of the organization.

I'm not sure anyone wants to touch Dukes b/c of his off-field issues and coming late to work, which he was warned about. I'm sure if they culd fine a taker, they would, as long as they get something in return. Pete
