Helping himself
For the second time in as many games, Nationals pitchers have helped their own cause.
Jordan Zimmermann picked up his first big league hit, driving in Josh Willingham, to give himself a 1-0 lead.
It wasn't his first RBI as Zimmermann picked up the first of his first career on June 19 on a fielder's choice ground out.
Marlins starter Josh Johnson walked three in the inning, but he left the bases loaded when Cristian Guzman struck out to end the inning.
Last night, rookie right-hander Craig Stammen singled home two runs to put the Nationals up 3-1.
