I think I botched it
Remember a few weeks ago I asked the donks opinion on a fantasy baseball trade? I was offered Markakis and Ellsbury for A-Roid and I turned it down. A-Rod proceeded to drop his average to about .207 and Markakis and Ellsbury stayed solid, hitting around .300.
Well, since I'm in second place about 4 points out of the lead, I thought I should shake it up because I'm slowly starting to gain points in offense, by the way - I know nobody cares. I recently traded Beckett for Hanley Ramirez and it's been a good trade for me.
Long story short, I grasped and asked the guy if he would still do the deal and, of course, he said no and that I had to sweeten the deal.
So I did, I offered A-Roid and Tori Hunter who is having a great first half. The guy couldn't click the accept button quick enough. A-Roid looks like he might be getting his bat back now, but I had to make the move to get my boy Ellsbury and now I can gain points in stolen bases. The guy originally wanted Johan, but I balked at it.
Hopefully it works out for me. Thoughts?
BTW, the Nats and Orioles are 2-8 combined against my boys this year. Add the Yanks in there and they are 2-16. Love it.

Hey Jim Bowden, this trade is a show. Alex Roid-riguez is swinging a hot bat lately and his hip problem or whatever seems to be behind him. Tori Hunter is also having a better statistical power year than Mr. Nicholas Markakis. So you sacrificed home run production and RBIs to get a few more base stealing points. My professional advice, quit the league to avoid any further embarrassment...lick.
went to the redsox game on wed july 1,130pm.
nice game from pickles at noon til around 4pm.
redsox fans everywhere,5-1 orioles in the ninth.
Obnoxious 2 redsox fans in the bleachers,even in the 7th they wouldnt shut up ,LETS GO REDSOX! LETS GO REDSOX,its 5-1 orioles,I was like cmon!
Of course the redsox tied the game in the ninth I wanted to shoot myself.
They kept yellin in the 11th,then the sox took the lead,i couldnt take it anymore,forced to leave I sat in a handicapped seat last row in lower left field,2 redsox fans next to me, they were there the night before,they loved the park,u all have a great park! yeah it nice,but we havent won anything since 97.
But Then of course there was another redsox fan behind me yelling LETS GO REDSOX! as papelbon closed it out in the bottom of the 11th.
went to pickles and there was 4 redsox fans from bauston at the bah next to me,actually really from bauston,i ordered 2 beers ,they were actually cool,im not a bad sport,i talked, hung out with them,i was beaten,what can u do!

I concur with Mr. Rickerson - TERRIBLE trade. If you're desperate to add some steals, do it from the bottom of your roster and drop your worst player to add a Nyjer Morgan from the Nubs, Michael Bourn from the Astros, or even Andrew McCutchen of the Pirates.

Try actually paying a little attention to the Nats and giving us a reasonable baseball blog next time. Lannan is looking very good lately, a bright spot on an otherwise dismal season.
i think joesph thomas should start his own blog....i thought that was my 4 year old son until he mentioned drinking beers at pickles. sounds like you are in a rotissire league and if adding stolen bases was the goal, worst trade ever. should have added speed for a week or two with a free agent. that guy was probably asking for like arod and a little sugar but you gave him tori hunter whos having a career year. nice move, theo you are not.
