Some notes from today's game:

*For a while it seemed like Luke Scott hit one homer per night. Today's solo homer by Scott in the 2nd was his 15th of the year. He had gone 14 games without a homer. He now has 10 homers in his last 28 games.

*An O's win today would give the Orioles the series, two wins to one. Boston has won six straight series. Their last series defeat was when they lost two of three vs. Texas June 5-7.

*Ty Wigginton hit a solo homer in the fourth. That extended his batting streak to ten games. He is 1 for 3 today and 17 for 37 during the hit streak.

*The Orioles are 3-2 on this homestand that ends today. They are 24-19 at home on the year and have won 7 of their past 10 at the Yard. They are 10-6 at home this year vs. AL East clubs.

*After last night, Oscar Salazar is now 5 for 7 this season when batting with runners in scoring position. He is 9 for 19 as a pinch hitter in his O's career.

*The last time the O's won a series vs. Boston was when the O's swept a two-game set at Camden Yards vs. the Sox last May 13-14.
