Speed thrills
The Nyjer Morgan era in Washington got off to a running start tonight, both offensively and defensively.
With two outs in the top of the first, Chipper Jones hit as liner towards the gap in right-center. Morgan, in a full sprint, caught the ball for the final out of the inning. I'm not sure Willie Harris or any other payer on the roster makes the catch.
In the bottom of the inning, Morgan walked, stole second and scored easily on Josh Willingham's single to left.
The Nationals had a chance to add to the lead, but Cristian Guzman, batting sixth, struck out looking with runners on first and second.
