Today's pitchers: Bergesen vs. Beckett

Beckett has not allowed a run in three of his last four starts. On June 9, he pitched six shutout innings vs. the Yankees. On June 20, he pitched a complete-game, five-hit shutout vs. Atlanta. Six days later he blanked the Braves on six hits over seven innings.
Right-handed batters hit only .217 vs. Beckett, while lefties bat .253 vs. him. The Sox are 11-4 when he is the starting pitcher.
In eight road starts, Beckett is 5-3, 4.03.
In his career, he is 98-65, 3.48 in 208 career starts. He was a 20-game winner two years ago, going 20-7, 3.27 in 2007.
Since pitching to a record of 2-2 and ERA of 7.22 in April, Beckett is 7-1, 1.94 in ten starts in May and June (15 ER in 69 2/3IP).
