Reimold update
Nolan Reimold underwent successful surgery today in Baltimore to repair a frayed Achilles tendon. Doctors also shaved a bump on his heel that was rubbing on the tendon.
Reimold will be examined again in 12-14 days. He'll soon return to his Pennsylvania home.

A more than admirable rookie season. Hats off to you Nolan.
Roch,
The medical updates are always appreciated....especially because there are so many!
We hear all this talk about the need for a big home run hitter. I've yet to hear anyone say that Reimold fits that bill. Given a full, healthy season...the guy looks like he has 35 homer potential. Would you agree?
Jim Carter

He could reach the 30s, but they still want to add a few bats. - Roch
Is that your shortest post?

It would rank right up there. - Roch
Nolan live in Pa? Is he neighbors with Hendrickson or somewhere else?

Money in the bank....
I bet my friend 20 bucks Pie would start off swinging at the first pitch.
BAM.....easy money.
And to top matters off, he runs down the first base line watching the entire time at the catcher trying to position himself to catch his easy out. Again, I cant believe Crow doesnt work with him on working the count.
Dont they teach these guys NOT to look at the ball when you run?
Pie is a total mess.....5 tools LOL
But he will play no matter what. Andrew doesnt allow his mistakes to be pointed out!
YOU HAVE ASSEMBLED A TOTAL FLOP OF A TEAM THIS YEAR ANDREW!
Get better soon Nolan. The team misses your bat.
two words:
RRRRYYYYYEEEEeeeeeeeeee MMMoooooollllllllllllllddddddd!
I wish some other players were returning to their homes, other than Nolan.
WHY IN THIS WORLD WOULD PIE TRY TO FIELD A BALL IN THE GAP HIT TO HIM WITH HIS BARE HAND? WHY KOOL AID DRINKERS?
You guys defend this disgrace of an outfielder no matter what he does. GOOD he got an error....I bet Andrew will call the score keeper to get that changed!
If you are an outfielder and a ball comes to you on the ground, you
A. Try to glove it and throw to the cut off man
B. Think about who's back you are going to jump on when the team finally wins a game again, then try to barehand the ball, giving the runner an extra base!
THAT'S WHY THEY HAND OUT GLOVES FELIX!
WAY TO GO JESTER!
Here's to his speedy recovery.
It said "read more" and there wasn't any more.
Fred and Joe mentioned on the radio that DT had told Roberts several days ago that he would be sitting this game. No surprise there.
Moeller plays tonight against the right-hander, but sat each of the last two games against left-handers???
Is there any chance Weiters is up for ROY candidacy now? i mean he is just killing it now. 291??
Roch,
Might the O's have a big bat for the middle of their line-up already in their organization? Maybe that new catcher they drafted recently? The manager usually bats him 7th or 8th so I can see why the organization would think they'd need to find a free agent.
Nice to hear some good news for a change. Heal quick Nolan; you'll be needed next year.

Vote for the South Carroll vs. North Carroll game For this game to be on Tv, Friday.
Nick Labia. Roch tell me that is not the third base coach's name and Gary Thorne butcher.

SWEPT AWAY
Another night......
Another sweep.......
Another AL east DISGRACE.......
Seven straight losses.......
But ANDREW has a plan and he called OLE PETE to "consult" so everything must be OK!
I'm cured. These past two series have finally gotten me over the O's for the season. Full bore Ravens from here on out.
Roch--Can you remember the last time you read the quote: "...underwent unsuccessful surgery today"?
I can't remember, either.

I thought that same thing when I was typing it. I guess if you don't die on the table or the foot doesn't fall off, it's a success. - Roch
After watching the O's the last 2 nights I am convinced they will lose 100 games this year. As a matter of fact they might lose every game the rest of the year. I hate to be so negative but the pitching absolutely stinks and the team is just playing out the string. They just seem to find different ways to lose.(last night's game was a good example)
When Nolan and Adam went on DL they called up Lou. Why didn't they call up Jim Miller when Koji and Kam went on the DL? He certainly couldn't any worse than this rag tag bullpen.
Hey jack - buy a clue, they're cheap! - nobody cares about your attempts to discredit a pick-up that was all reward and no risk. He has shown plenty to warrent getting him for nothing. find another subject or is Pie all you have?
Moldy and Bergy are the two best things that have happened to this team this year
i went to dinner with a friend from college who i hadn't seen in about 8 years (not to date myself or anything) this past weekend who said she went to senior prom with one of Nolan's brothers and was very friends with his entire family. Is it sad i was more interested in being Nolan's future buddy than to ask the friend to set me up with his model sister?
I'm thoroughly disappointed with myself. Can you offer some words of encouragement for me?

You keep that up and you WILL be dating yourself. - Roch
"You keep that up and you WILL be dating yourself." - Roch. An example of the perfect, humorous comment, with an assist to TMNA for "placing the ball exactly where you like it."
Dear Jack,
It is so painful (no capitals in deference to you; you own that shtick) to see you wrestling with the written word, idiomatic English, and subtle irony and sarcasm. Seriously, there is no student who does not recognize your work.
Jimmy Hunter said: “If the deal means I can praise Andy MacPhail a few dozen extra times in every MASN broadcast, I'm all for it. The fact that we are even discussing this deal is proof that you cannot say enough about the job Andy is doing!”
Jack said: “Jimmy Hunter...you are going to praise Andrew a few dozen times each game whether there is a reason to or not.”
Jack, dear boy: “Jimmy Hunter” was using sarcasm so strong that half-wits got it. For your protection, why not e.mail to Brummie what you would like to post . Brummie, a caring, sensitive person (although he has no use for husky, young men and those who irritate him with public displays of piety), will be happy to help you with some of the concepts that repeatedly confound you. You do know that Brummie is a professional journalist?
Rochettes and Rocheteers,
Today, September 24, is National Punctuation Day. It seems entirely fitting that a student poster should be recognized for creative punctuation, grammar, and/or spelling as an alternative way -- the negative role model example -- to celebrate NPD.
Can you identify the author of the following mangled gems? Every quotation appears in its original, untouched form.
- If you think parading Eaton, Simon and Hendrickson out there every fifth day for the first 3 months dont wear on a player, then you never played this game. This team was put in a hole so deep, they couldnt see the light when by the end of May."
- "pre-madonna."
- “Both DT and Andrew operate in a defensive manner. And with this last sentence, is why we will be the PERRENIAL DOORMAT of the American League!”
- “He is so far up Andrew and Ole Pete's butt it is rediculous!”
- “No wonder our pitchers dont have no stamina.”
- “All to save the ole might Pete more Ole might dollars.”
- “Otherwise if we can get a hometown discount or they except a low ball offer, we will go after them. Thanks Andrew.”
Jack - Remember, no homeschooling!
