Who will play third base?
Tuesday: O's beginning play in Fall leagues | Wednesday: All about Jauss | Thursday: Examining the young pitchers and Waring | Friday: Updating Kikuchi, Bell and Snyder | Saturday: Examining Arrieta
Monday, October 12:
Steve Melewski wonders what the O's will do at third base next season: "[W]hat if Josh Bell is the future at third and Brandon Snyder the future at first, but neither is ready on opening day, 2010. Then what?
The O's seem pretty sold that Bell could be the heir apparent at third. But he has not yet played at Triple-A ball.
They could play Ty Wigginton there for a month, half a season, or whatever time length Bell needs to gain seasoning and at bats at Norfolk." [masnsports.com]

I think Bell has the potentialto be our guy at 3rd. I wouldn't mind seeing a trade for Mark Teahan from the Royals. He is under contract until 2012. Move him to first when Bell is ready.
