Cundiff no longer perfect
Cancel Billy Cundiff's ticker-tape parade.
The new Ravens kicker, who went 4-of-4 on field goals in the first half, just missed a 30-yarder wide right and the Colts still have a 14-12 lead.
It was Cundiff's shortest attempt of the day, but he pushed the kick to the right, denying the Ravens a chance to take a second half lead over the undefeated Colts.
You can't blame Cundiff entirely - the Baltimore offense continues to get stuck in neutral once they get inside the Indianapolis 30, and this time, Le'Ron McClain was stood up on a third-and-one at the Colts' 10, forcing the field goal attempt.
The kick came after a wild couple of minutes that saw: Colts tight end Tom Santi fumble at the Baltimore one-yard-line after it looked like Indy was set to extend their lead with a touchdown, Derrick Mason make a spectacular 45-yard grab in traffic, and Willis McGahee apparently fumble in Colts territory only to have the call overturned.
As we near the end of the third quarter, Baltimore still trails by two, but they have the ball back with a chance, yet again, to take the lead.
