Expert weighs in on Nats #1 pick
It's always to nice to hear from Jim Callis, Executive Editor of Baseball America, about the latest on the Nats and their future stars, those drafted and signed and those that might be on the horizon.
Last year, Baseball America had the mock draft right on with Strasburg at #1 (no shocker!) and Drew Storen at #10. How about Bryce Harper this season? Is he the man, or will the Nats go after the stash of tremendous right-handed pitchers available in the top five?
In the audio interview below, Callis has the latest on Stephen Strasburg and Bryce Harper.
Callis said he isn't surprised at how well Strasburg is doing so far, but he cautions that we shouldn't get too excited about Strasburg's success; by the same token, Callis said Strasburg's doing what he was supposed to do, and that's a very good sign for the Nats.
Also in the interview, listen for Callis' take on Bryce Harper, what the 17-year-old can do, and why he doesn't think Harper will be the Nats' pick at number one.
Finally, should Strasburg and Storen be on the Opening Day roster, or should the Nationals wait a few weeks before making the moves?

Also, I spoke with Tim Chambers, baseball coach at College of Southern Nevada, regarding his star pupil, Bryce Harper, and will have a full update Wednesday as well.
