College Football Bowl Preview Week 4
Monday, January 4:
Tostito's Fiesta Bowl, Glendale, AZ:
No. 6 Boise State (12-0, 8-0 Western Athletic) will be back in the stadium where they upset Oklahoma three years ago. The Broncos have a rematch with their bowl opponent from last season, the No. 3 TCU Horned Frogs. The Horned Frogs (12-0, 8-0 Mountain West) had a very good season in 2009 and also deserve to be in the Fiesta Bowl. This game can be seen Monday, Jan. 4, at 8:00 p.m. on Fox. Tuesday, January 5:
FedEx Orange Bowl, Miami, FL:
The FedEx Orange Bowl will feature a conference champion and a school that was undefeated most of the season. No. 10 Iowa (10-2, 6-2 Big Ten) has a strong defensive team that carried them for most of the year. No. 9 Georgia Tech (11-2, 7-1 ACC) uses a potent rushing attack to wear down its opponents. Wednesday, January 6:
GMAC Bowl, Mobile, AL:
No. 25 Central Michigan (11-2, 8-0 Mid-American) will be playing their bowl game without their coach, but will still have quarterback Dan LeFevour leading their offense. Their opponent, Troy (9-3, 8-0 Sun Belt) is trying for a bowl win after falling short last season. This game will be shown Wednesday, Jan. 6, at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN. Thursday, January 7:
Citi BCS National Championship Game, Pasadena, CA:
The BCS National Championship Game at the Rose Bowl will conclude another college football season. This game will feature No. 1 against No. 2 in the BCS Standings. No. 2 Texas (13-0, 8-0 Big 12) got to this point by winning the Big 12 Championship over Nebraska with a last-second field goal. No. 1 Alabama (13-0, 8-0 SEC) won the SEC Championship in dominant fashion over Florida to earn the right to play for the national championship.
