Yes, that Juan Castro.

Third base coach Sam Perlozzo embraced Mike Bordick behind the batting cage. I only got a smile and a wave.

Roch,

Has there been a Spring Training in recent memory that initially was filled with so much optimism and which has been dashed by such poor pitching and a major injury? I can't recall one that matches this year's.

I'll begin to worry the last two weeks of ST, when you get a consistent roster of regulars and starters going 5+ innings. If we're committing multiple errors, not scoring runs and starters can't get thru 4, then I'll worry. But until then, no sense in losing hope after 2 weeks of games.

Roch, What's the general mood in camp? The Roberts injury must be worrisome. It seems like the pitchers are routinely explaining why a lackluster (or worse) outing really is nothing to worry about. Wieters is scuffling. And the camp seems to be missing the usual story or two about someone who is unexpectedly turning heads. It is encouraging to see some of the guys competing for relief spots doing well, but granting that it's still early, this feels just a little ominous. Hope it doesn't feel ominous down there.

Man - could the Orioles POSSIBLY do any better to give the HATERS any more ammunition? Our 2 "Aces" are coming up duces - our sparkplug is UNplugged for who knows how long?! Sore backs and poor velocity from our new closer! Our SI saviour has ONE hit in like 15 at bats. Pie hurts somewhere every day - we lose nearly every day with little or no fight!! SIGGGGGHHHHH!! God this doesn't look good - even for spring training!

Roch, If you had gotten more attention than Mike Bordick then that would have lifted some eyebrows.

Hey everyone, I used then and than in the same sentence in their proper place. Do I get a star for the day?
