Rendon blast begins scoring early (Nats win 5-3)
The Nats got on the board in the bottom of the first in their spring training finale at Nats Park. Trea Turner's one-out infield single started the rally against Yankees southpaw Stephen Tarpley With two away, Anthony Rendon blasted a 2-1 offering over the left field wall. Giancarlo Stanton barely moved. Rendon's fifth of the spring made it 2-0 Nats. Update: Troy Tulowitzki cranked a solo homer off of Sánchez to lead off the third. Tulowitzki's fourth homer of the spring came on a first-pitch, 88 mph fastball.

Mid-third, the Nats lead the Yankees 2-1.

Update II: Kurt Suzuki hit a sacrifice fly and Brian Dozier an RBI single to score Juan Soto and Rendon in the fourth off of Yankees right-hander Tommy Kahnle.

After four innings, the Nats lead the Yankees 4-1.

Update III: Matt Adams slammed a solo homer to right field in the sixth. He has six homers in spring training.

After five innings, Nats lead 5-2.

Final update: Francisco Diaz's sac fly plated the last Yankees run in the eighth. Sean Doolittle pitched a 1-2-3 ninth. Nationals win 5-3.
