Taking a look at other no-hitters after Hisashi Iwakuma no-hit Orioles

Seattle pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma threw a 3-0 no-hitter in beating the Orioles on Wednesday at Safeco Field.

It was the fourth no-hitter thrown in Safeco Park history, the others coming in 2012. The ballpark opened in 1999.

The White Sox's Philip Humber threw a perfect-game, 4-0 win versus Seattle in April 2012.

In June of that season, the Mariners' Kevin Millwood and five relievers threw a 1-0 no-hitter against the Dodgers, and then in August, the Mariners' King Felix Hernandez threw a perfecto in a 1-0 win against Tampa Bay.

Here's no-hitter trivia, gleaned from team notes, the AP, my own reporting and Baseballpilgrimages.com:

- It's not surprising, but Boston's Fenway Park is the leader in no-hitters with 14, the last coming when lefty Jon Lester pitched a 7-0 win against Kansas City. The National League ballpark with the most is Dodger Stadium with 11, the last coming in 2014 when lefty Clayton Kershaw beat Colorado 8-0. Sandy Koufax has a record three no-hitters in Dodger Stadium.

- Camden Yards is one of 11 ballparks that has had one no-hitter. That belongs to Boston's Hideo Nomo, who threw a 3-0 no-no against the Orioles on April 4, 2001. It is the earliest in a season a no-hitter has ever been thrown. Nomo also threw the only no-no in Colorado's Coors Field when he pitched for the Dodgers and beat the Rockies in 1996.

- Nationals Park has had two, one by the Nationals' Jordan Zimmermann and the other by Max Scherzer. Zimmermann's came on the final day of 2014 against Miami and was the fifth of the regular season. Ironically, the losing pitcher was the Marlins' Henderson Alvarez, who had thrown a no-hitter for the Marlins on the final day of the regular season in 2013.

- The only current ballparks without a no-hitter are Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Target Field in Minnesota, Minute Maid Park in Houston and the new Yankee Stadium in New York.

- Johan Santana threw a no-hitter for the Mets vs. St. Louis in 2012, ending the longest no-hitter drought in history. The no-hitter came in the Mets' 8,020th game. It left the Padres as the only team without a no-hitter.

- Chicago's Wrigley Field is the only ballpark that has had no-hitters thrown on the same date. Cincinnati's Jim Maloney beat the Cubs 1-0 on Aug. 19, 1965 and then in 1969, the Cubs' Ken Holtzman threw a 3-0 no-hitter against Atlanta.

- Atlanta's Turner Field and Toronto's Rogers Centre are the only places where there have been multiple no-hitters without one thrown by the home team. In Atlanta, opponents have thrown three no-hitters, including Arizona's Randy Johnson, Colorado's Ubaldo Jimenez, now with the Orioles, and the Phillies' Cole Hamels, who was assisted three other bullpen pitchers. ... In Toronto, Dave Stewart of Oakland beat the Blue Jays on a 5-0 no-hitter in 1999 and then Detroit's Justin Verlander beat the Blue Jays 9-0 with a no-hitter in 2011.

- Philadelphia's Roy Halladay beat the Reds in a Division Series game at Citizens Bank Park, one of two no-hitters in postseason history. The other belongs to the Yankees' Dan Larsen, who threw a perfect game in the 1956 World Series against Brooklyn.
