BIRDLAND SUMMER MUSIC SERIES, PRESENTED BY MILLER LITE
Multi-platinum selling artist FLO RIDA will kick off the Birdland Summer Music Series,
presented by Miller Lite, with a postgame concert on Friday. The concert is the first
of three postgame concerts this season. All concerts are included with the purchase
of a game ticket, and on-field passes are available for an additional $25 per ticket.

Baltimore County Executive, OLSZEWSKI, JR., will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the
game.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Sandie Lee, "Hairspray on Tour" cast member
Lee, who plays Motormouth Maybelle in “Hairspray on Tour," will perform her rendition of the
national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. The all-new touring production, led by
Director JACK O’BRIEN and starring ANDREW LEVITT aka Nina West, from “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” as
Edna Turnblad, will be playing at the Hippodrome Theatre until June 19.
THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND: Courtney Gilbert
GILBERT will perform "This Land is Your Land" from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh
inning.
ALUMNI AUTOGRAPHS
O's Alumni will be on Eutaw Street, near the New Era cap store, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. to sign
autographs for fans, free of cost.

PREGAME CEREMONY: Trey Mancini 2021 AL Comeback Player of the Year Award
TREY MANCINI will receive his 2021 Comeback Player of the Year Award prior to the game. Mancini
was named the 2021 American League Comeback Player of the Year after returning to baseball just
one year after having and beating Stage 3 colon cancer.
FIRST PITCH: Daniela Peeler
Mrs. Maryland America 2022, PEELER, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Troy Kroger
KROGER will perform his rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the
game. He will also perform "America the Beautiful" from on top of the Orioles dugout during the
seventh inning.

FATHER'S DAY
To help celebrate dads across the league and spread awareness for prostate cancer, all uniformed
personnel will wear a blue ribbon on the left side of their jerseys, as well as blue-themed specialty
caps, socks, and wristbands.

Game-worn and autographed specialty Father’s Day caps will be available for purchase at Orioles.

COMMUNITY BOOTH: The James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute at Johns Hopkins
THE JAMES BUCHANAN BRADY UROLOGICAL INSTITUTE AT JOHNS HOPKINS will be located on
Eutaw Street prior to the game to spread awareness about prostate cancer and provide information
on how to get screened.
FIRST PITCH: Randy Dase
DASE, a prostate cancer survivor, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. A
longtime boys soccer coach at Towson High School, Dase was deemed cancer free in 2016.
MILITARY WELCOME: Blue Star Families
The Orioles will host military families from Blue Star Families, providing them with complimentary
game tickets, military themed O's caps, and a catered suite. Prior to the game, the guests will have
the opportunity to take photos on field and meet an Orioles player.
GIVEAWAY: Orioles Golf Visor
The first 10,000 fans 15 and older will receive an Orioles Golf Visor.
PREGAME CEREMONY: Brian Ebel, MATA Hall of Fame Presentation Ceremony
EBEL was inducted into the Maryland Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame on Saturday, June 11. The MATA Athletic Trainer Hall of Fame award is a prestigious honor that recognizes qualified
MATA members for their exceptional and unique contributions to the athletic training profession.
Ebel is in his fifth season as the Orioles Head Athletic Trainer, and his 38th year with the organization
overall, serving as the fourth Head Athletic Trainer in Orioles history (since 1954).
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Peter Michael Pirro
PIRRO will perform his rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game.
He will also perform "God Bless America" from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh
inning.
Kids Run the Bases, presented by Weis Markets
All fans ages four to 14 will have the opportunity to run the bases following the game.

FIRST PITCH: Taliyah Bailey
A member of the Orioles 14U Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program, BAILEY, was selected
to play in the 2022 Trailblazer Series, which took place from April 13-17 at the Jackie Robinson
Training Complex in Vero Beach, Fla. The Trailblazer Series is a baseball tournament for girls founded
by USA Baseball and Major League Baseball in 2017. Its goal is to provide player, development, and
educational opportunities for girls who play baseball.

PRIDE NIGHT FIRST PITCH: Bryan Ruby
A professional baseball player and rising country music artist, RUBY will throw out the ceremonial
first pitch prior to the game. Ruby became the only openly gay active professional baseball player
in September 2021, while playing for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes.
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Barrett Johnson, Jamie Kaye, and David Woodward
Pride Center of Maryland members, JOHNSON, KAYE, and WOODWARD, will perform their rendition
of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. The Pride Center of Maryland is
dedicated to ensuring Maryland’s sexual and gender minority community has equal access to care,
services, and a space where they can be their authentic selves.
BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO: Brian Holcomb-McMahon (he/him)
A Rainbow Representative at Talbott Springs Elementary School in Columbia, Md.,
HOLCOMB-McMAHON, has provided more LGBTQIA+ events and communication for families, installed
a Rainbow Library, and has been a visible ally for students. Holcomb-McMahon is currently
working to help Talbott Springs Elementary become a Rainbow Ribbon School, a school that is
an outstanding supporter of LGBTQIA+ students. A member of the HCPSS LGBTQIA+ Advisory
Committee, Holcomb-McMahon is also collaborating on an Affinity Group Toolkit that will be
distributed to all Rainbow Representatives at the start of the 2022-23 school year. On behalf of
Holcomb-McMahon, the Orioles Charitable Foundation will make a $5,000 donation to The Trevor
Project, an organization that focuses on suicide prevention in LGBTQ+ youth.
COMMUNITY GROUPS: Unmatched Athlete, The Pride Center, Proud to be in Baseball, Movable
Feast, Stonewall Sports, and Dale Scott
UNMATCHED ATHLETE, THE PRIDE CENTER, PROUD TO BE IN BASEBALL, MOVABLE FEAST,
STONEWALL SPORTS, and DALE SCOTT will be located in the bullpen picnic area prior to the game
to provide fans with information on how to support the local LGBTQ+ community.
PRIDE MERCHANDISE
Pride-themed merchandise will be available for purchase in the bullpen picnic area from 6:00 p.m.
through 8:00 p.m. All proceeds will benefit local Pride organizations. Copies of Dale Scott's book
"The Umpire Is Out: Calling the Game and Living My True Self" will also be available. In addition, the
Orioles Team Store will offer an expansive selection of Pride merchandise.
PREGAME PERFORMANCE: Baltimore Men's Chorus
BALTIMORE MEN'S CHORUS will perform a pregame concert. The Baltimore Men's Chorus is
Baltimore's oldest LGBTQ+ performing arts organization. They work to serve the community by
fostering positive social change through artistic excellence.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BUILD
Members of the Orioles employee volunteer program, Orange and Black Gives Back,
will participate in a Habitat for Humanity build on Wednesday, June 29. The project
will take place in the Pigtown neighborhood.
