A recent article in Dickinson Magazine featured a particular alumnus of special interest to Orioles fans.

First things first - a fair warning: this post obviously isn't 100% focused on the Orioles. Although, we all probably enjoy the idea of one day tracking celebrities at an O's-(Insert opponent of choice here) World Series--if O's fans will even be able to think about anything else when that day arrives!

RHP Jeremy Guthrie (10-15, 5.05) tonight will make his 31st start of this season, his 15th on the road and the 10th in his career vs. Toronto.
Guthrie has lost his last two starts vs. New York and Boston, giving up 8ER over 11 1/3 innings. In his four previous starts, he went 3-1, 1.33.
So, over his last six starts, he is 3-3, 2.82.
Despite the improved pitching recently, Guthrie leads the Major Leagues with 15 losses and leads the American League in runs allowed and homers.

Swept away by the Jays - Toronto posted wins over the O's by scores of 9-2, 6-5 and 7-3 in this series to complete the sweep by a combined score of 22 to 10. It's Toronto's second sweep of the O's this year. They took three straight at home from May 1-3.
The O's fall to 16-33 in series finales. They are now 4-18 in a finale vs. an AL East team and 1-10 vs. the East on the road in such games.
