Bryce Harper: "quicker game, quicker guys" at Double-A level

BOWIE, Md. - The Nationals' No. 1 prospect Bryce Harper spoke with reporters before the opening game of the Harrisburg Senators' series against Bowie on Monday and talked about fighting through his recent struggles at the plate. Recently, Harper fought through a 1-for-25 streak to collect five hits in his last 18 at-bats. He said before the game that he can definitely see the difference in talent between low Single-A and Double-A pitchers. "A lot better pitching," Harper said. "Guys coming out of the bullpen throwing harder. They have better stuff and command. You can't sit on a fastball 2-0 or 3-1, they will come off speed. They will do whatever they can to get you out. It is a quicker game and quicker guys." "The guys are good," Harper said. "They can really play. We are facing a big leaguer tonight (Zach Britton). He has some good stuff. Every guy I have faced has been really, really good. I will make the adjustment and try to get some hits out there."
