Orioles tie club record with seven home runs (O's set record, win 19-3)

The Orioles can't stop hitting home runs tonight and the Phillies can't take anymore of it.

Reliever Justin De Fratus, working his second inning, was ejected by plate umpire Lance Barksdale in the sixth after throwing at shortstop J.J. Hardy. Chris Parmelee led off with his second homer of the night, and De Fratus followed with a pitch that was tailing into Hardy's midsection.

Hardy got out of the way and Barksdale wasted no time in tossing De Fratus, who didn't put up much of a fight.

Elvis Araujo entered the game as De Fratus' replacement. He hasn't left the building, though if he were smart, he'd hop in a cab.

The Phillies are showing why they're the worst team in baseball at 22-43. The Orioles have scored in every inning while building a 17-3 lead, the last runners crossing on Manny Machado's RBI single and Travis Snider's RBI double in the sixth after the ejection.

The 17 runs are one shy of the Orioles' season high and six away from the franchise record.

Caleb Joseph is the only starter without a hit, but he reached on an error.

Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg didn't get ejected, but he chose to wear a disguise in the dugout.

The Orioles have hit seven home runs, tied for most in club history. They've done it four times, most recently on Sept. 26, 2012 vs. the Blue Jays.

Parmelee is 4-for-4 with two homers, the four hits a career high. Machado has homered twice and walked. Chris Davis hit the warehouse on one bounce.

Parmelee has registered his second career two-homer game, the other coming on June 22, 2013 at Cleveland.

This is the second time in 2015 that two Orioles have homered twice in the same game. Machado and Delmon Young turned the trick on May 31.

Jimmy Paredes and David Lough also have homered. And it's gotten so bad that outfielder Jeff Francoeur is warming in the bullpen.

I didn't think he was there to deliver sunflower seeds.

The Cardinals are accused of hacking and the Phillies appear to be choking.

Chris Tillman worked the first six innings, his biggest challenge staying sharp while sitting in the dugout for prolonged stretches. He's poised to win his third start in a row, and the Orioles are about to go 1-0 when Wei-Yin Chen vents on Twitter.

Update: Francoeur retired the Orioles in order in the seventh, striking out Nolan Reimold, but Ryan Flaherty led off the eighth with a home run to give the Orioles an 18-3 lead and the team record for most homers in a single game.

The 18 runs ties the season high.

Francoeur hit Joseph with the next pitch.

Update II: The Orioles scored a season high in runs to defeat the Phillies 19-3.

Jimmy Paredes' sacrifice fly in the eighth delivered the 19th run. He came within a few feet of a grand slam.

The Orioles (33-31) are two games above .500 for the first time since April 19.

Chris Tillman recorded his 50th career win.
