The less said, the better

The Rangers completed their sweep of this three-game series tonight with a 13-5 victory over the Orioles. It wasn't that close. Orioles pitching allowed 18 hits to go with those 13 runs.

Jeremy Guthrie surrendered six runs and eight hits in five innings. Michael Gonzalez gave up two runs and three hits in one inning. Brad Bergesen allowed four runs and four hits - including Mike Napoli's three-run shot - in one inning. Kevin Gregg allowed one run and three hits in one inning. It adds up to another lopsided defeat for a reeling ballclub that was outscored, 30-11, in the series and heads to Boston for four more games before the break. Will those games break them? The Orioles went 3-for-18 with runners in scoring position in the series. The Rangers went 17-for-36. Derrek Lee hit a two-run homer tonight. Vladimir Guerrero homered, singled and drove in two runs. Robert Andino had two hits. That's it for the positives. That's it for me tonight.
