SARASOTA, Fla. - Orioles left-hander Wade Miley will start Tuesday afternoon against the Braves in Orlando after being scratched from his last outing because of an illness.
Jayson Aquino starts Sunday against the Blue Jays in Dunedin and Tyler Wilson starts Monday against the Red Sox in Sarasota.
Oliver Drake served up a long two-out, two-run homer to Niko Goodrum in the ninth inning in the Orioles' 6-3 victory over the Twins. He tossed a scoreless eighth.
"Glad that ball hit the palm tree," said manager Buck Showalter. "It might have gotten in the training room."
Drake has posted a 10.32 ERA in 11 1/3 innings, with 13 earned runs and 21 hits. He's out of minor league options.
Gabriel Ynoa allowed one hit and struck out three batters over five scoreless innings.
"It was a good outing," Showalter said. "He had a lot of movement on his fastball. A couple of our guys in the infield were saying how much the ball was running. Breaking ball, got around quite a few of them. Kind of funny watching (Welington) Castillo work with him between innings.
"He presented himself well. That was close to a normal night. A little wind blowing out. Not much. Mostly early. In the shadows the first couple of innings. A lot of things you keep in mind."
Seth Smith, in his first game since March 8, had a double and single off left-handers Hector Santiago and Craig Breslow.
"He's trying to protect himself a little bit," Showalter said. "He's not pushing the leg."
Smith will lead off every inning Sunday morning in an intrasquad game as he tries to build up his at-bats.
"Brian (Graham) will try to find him some guys who are around the plate," Showalter said.
Zach Britton walked two batters in a scoreless seventh inning after Brad Brach surrendered a leadoff home run to Tommy Field in the sixth.
