ORIOLES REACH IN THE COMMUNITY
OriolesREACH and RHP JEREMY GUTHRIE are celebrating National Bike to Work Day by hosting Bike to the Ballpark Day this Sunday, May 18. Each fan that bikes to the ballpark for the day's 1:35 p.m. game against the Washington Nationals will receive a voucher to purchase an upper reserve seat for $6. Bike parking will be available outside of Gate C. Vouchers for the discounted tickets will be distributed in the bike parking lot. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bike locks.
JEREMY GUTHRIE TO BIKE TO CITY HALL WITH MAYOR SHEILA DIXON
RHP JEREMY GUTHRIE will join Baltimore City Mayor Sheila Dixon in celebrating National Bike to Work Day by cycling from the Light Street pavilion to City Hall on Friday, May 16. Guthrie and Mayor Dixon will begin their commute at 6:45 a.m. at the Light Street pavilion. A ceremony at City Hall will follow at 7:00 a.m. Guthrie will address attendees at the event, sign autographs and distribute vouchers for a $6 discounted ticket to the Orioles' Bike to the Ballpark Day on Sunday for individuals who participate in Bike to Work Day.
CHICK-FIL-A LUNCHEON WITH DANIEL CABRERA
The public is invited to visit the Chick-fil-A at Marley Station for a lunch meet and greet with RHP DANIEL CABRERA on Saturday, May 17 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Cabrera will sign autographs for fans at the event. There is no admission charge to attend.
GAMEDAY AT ORIOLE PARK
ORIOLES HOST GIRL & BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
The Orioles will host youth from the Girl & Boy Scouts of America at the Orioles vs. Nationals game on Saturday, May 17. Close to 1,000 scouts and their families will attend the game, and each participant will receive a special participation patch. For Saturday's game, the Boy Scouts will perform the color guard ceremony and the Girl Scouts will sing the national anthem.
LITTLE LEAGUE DAY
The Orioles will host approximately 13,000 Little Leaguers and families at Oriole Park for Little League Day this Sunday, May 18. The second of two Little League events this season brings area Little League teams to Camden Yards to participate in a pre-game parade around the warning track on the field. In addition, Orioles players line up in the dugout to greet each Little League player as the parade passes by. For more information or to participate in Little League Day, call 1-888-848-BIRD.
TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME CONTEST WINNER ANNOUNCED
In a pre-game ceremony on Sunday, May 18 the Orioles will recognize the top three finalists of the Take Me Out to the Ballgame contest. The winner will be announced during the ceremony and that person will sing his or her rendition of the song during the 7th inning stretch.
ORIOLES REACH COMMUNITY BOOTH
During each home game the Orioles provide a community booth for charitable, non-profit organizations to distribute information, sell raffle tickets, register participants or conduct health care screenings for Orioles fans.
ORIOLES REACH GAMEDAY EXPERIENCE
The Orioles and Orioles players host local non-profit and youth groups regularly at Camden Yards as part of the OriolesREACH Gameday Experience Program. Group members receive game tickets, concessions vouchers, an Orioles t-shirt, a cap and transportation to and from the game.
