The Terrell Suggs Show: Week 6 Edition
Never one to hold back, linebacker Terrell Suggs stepped to the microphone at The Castle in Owings Mills today, and talked with reporters about the upcoming matchup with Peyton Manning and the Colts, and the athletic abilities of his teammates.
Welcome to the Week 6 edition of The Terrell Suggs Show:
When asked about playing the Colts this week and his impressions of them so far: "I think this is a game where they're definitely going to want to light it up, put some points on the board, throw for a million yards, run for half a million. This ain't gonna be no physical game at all. This ain't like the last two weeks with Tennessee and Pittsburgh.
"Everybody wants to see points, and Peyton's going to want to go back there and do all the little games, and the little bull at the line trying to play with Ray [Lewis] and our secondary."
When I asked if he has a preference between a smash-mouth type of game or a finesse game: "It's easy. I would rather you line your 11 up against our 11 and go play football. But, not too many teams in the NFL can do that with us. And I think Peyton knows that, so he's got to do the little games at the line. 'AHHHHH!!' [Mocking Peyton's audibles at the line.] And then ain't nothing really coming and then dummy calls there and there. We're like, 'OK, Peyton, when you're ready to play football, we'll play'."[Laughter.]
When asked if the Colts' success protecting the quarterback is because of the offensive line or because Peyton gets rid of the ball quickly: "I think it's a combination of both. The offensive line, if they can hold up long enough, they say the average play in the NFL lasts four seconds. Well, with Peyton, it's more like 3.9...3.7. He don't like to hold the ball that long. He gets rid of it and does a good job of it."
When asked about Ravens safety Jim Leonhard: "Lion heart? [Laughter.] I love him, man. Little guy, scrappy, fits the Ravens' personality. He goes out there and dives in there and can hit, can play the run, so I like having him as a teammate. He's very impressive because I heard in college that he won like a dunk contest or something like that. The kid's like 5-9, 5-10, so that's just like, 'Wow.'
"I've seen him in preseason. When I was back in Arizona enjoying myself, I saw him in preseason. He was playing some really impressive football. I was like, 'Who is that guy? Did we draft him?' I didn't even know who he was before I got here. He's good, and I think he's going to be special."
When asked if Leonhard's appearance is deceptive: "Definitely. If I'd seen him out somewhere in public, at a mall, I definitely wouldn't think that guy plays football. [Laughter.] But when he puts them pads on, he sure enough is a football player."
When I asked if he planned on making Leonhard prove he could dunk: "Nah, I'm not going to make him prove it because I probably can't even dunk no more...Nah, I'm just playing. I'd flush that thing." [Laughter.]

I was just writing because on Thursday 10/16 we (as in)my sister, brother-in-law and myself attended Anita Marks and Terrell Suggs Show. During the show they gave a laptop away for a trivia question. After looking up the answer, it was wrong. The question was the last 100 yard rusher.Answer was Travis Henry witch is not correct.Larry Johnson should be the answer.I'm not looking for anything but me and two people at the next table had it. My name was not called.
