Adam Dunn hits the warehouse...
| | Comments (8)

...on one bounce.

OK, it doesn't count as a historic shot, but Dunn's 19th home run of the season in the fourth inning traveled an estimated 442 feet. The ball took a huge hop and glanced off the edge of a window on the second level.

Dunn's homer is the 50th to land on Eutaw St., the 30th by an opponent and the first by a Nationals' player. It also gave Washington a 2-1 lead.

Hey Roch- Is Dave Trembley philosophically opposed to the intentional walk or does he just keep falling asleep at the wheel? That's about the 4th or 5th time this season (2nd with Dunn) that the situation clearly called for an IBB, and we instead got burned with a big home run. Ryan Howard's shot was another good example. The Nats lineup has exactly 2 established threats. If Josh Willingham or Elijah Dukes beats you, so be it.

Roch, your friend Alan is a very wise and perceptive person. It's funny, though, I've seen quiet nights on the blog before, and people didn't really raise a peep as much as today.

I wonder if Dunn's homer caused any injuries. Boog's Barbeque should say HARD HAT AREA.

Very sad. I just read that he was on a Tampa flight Saturday where the front tires blew out upon landing. Even more bizarre. My question is, does this make four famous people, or do we start over after three, and he's actually the first? I always wonder about that. - Roch

.........................

It is actually 5 famous people now ... everyone keeps forgetting poor David Carradine.
So, now we should get one more to make 6 (or 2 sets of 3) ...

Very true! Totally forgot about him. RIP. - Roch

Why does trembley do this every sunday? Three plays at third in 6th melvin would of had.Salazar isnot a 3rd baseman. Score should still be 2-1.

Why didnt Baltimore sign Dunn in the offseason?

Oh that's right, there's no commitment to winning in the Front Office.

Roch,
I presume that was Dunn's first Eutaw street shot (pre-Nationals included).
