10 not-so-hard questions with Domonique Foxworth
In last week's edition of "10 not-so-hard questions" we learned that linebacker Jameel McClain was once nicknamed "mildew" and he can never get enough of the movie Gladiator.
Seriously though, we found out that an NFL player was nicknamed "mildew". Try to convince me this weekly piece isn't worthwhile.
Up this week is cornerback Domonique Foxworth.
Here we go:
1. Who's the one athlete you grew up idolizing?
"I was a Barry Sanders fan. I liked watching Barry play."
2. What's the worst nickname someone ever gave you?
"Foxy."
Foxy? Who gave you that one?
"I don't know, people still call me that. Lots of people just throw a 'y' on it, they think it makes it cute or something. Not a fan, but whatever."
3. What sport are you the worst at?
"Is golf considered a sport?"
Yeah, sure.
"I don't know if I'd consider golf a sport. It's a pastime. But I'm no good at golf."
4. What's the weirdest thing you've ever seen happen on a football field?
"Weirdest thing...I think it was actually in the Atlanta game [in the preseason]. [Antwan] Barnes caused a fumble and then started celebrating when the ball was still on the ground. [Laughing] I'll put that one."
5. Do you have any pets, now or growing up?
"I have an English bulldog named Cash. He's about three."
6. What food do you absolutely hate?
"I'm not big on desserts in general."
Really? No chocolate or cheesecake or anything?
"No chocolate, definitely no chocolate. If I go dessert, I go apple something. Some sort of apple pie, strudel...I can do that."
7. What's your favorite junk food?
"Great question. I don't really mess with too much junk food. I appreciate a good cookie, though."
OK. Do you stay away from the chocolate there too?
"Yeah, peanut butter."
8. If you could change one NFL rule, what would it be?
"Illegal contact. [Laughing] Take that out."
9. Guess that's an easy one for a corner. Who's the funniest teammate you've ever played with?
"I guess I couldn't say someone that no one would know. That wouldn't be very interesting. I'll go with Frank Walker. He's pretty funny."
10. Which of your teammates would win in a hot dog eating contest if they were up there with Kobayashi?
"[Laughing] I don't know I guess I'd go with the biggest. Who's the biggest? Haloti maybe?
Haloti's up there, Brandon McKinney's up there...
"I'd say a Haloti-McKinney tag team. They could take on Kobayashi."
