Statement from MASN on the departure of Anita Marks from CBS Radio
As Anita Marks departs CBS Radio to pursue new opportunities, MASN wishes her the very best.
Since the network's 24x7 launch in July of 2006, Anita has been an afternoon staple on MASN. She has brought sharp analysis, informed opinion and strong perspective on local, regional and national sports to MASN's audience. We appreciate her three and a half years of service to sports fans in Baltimore and throughout the country.
We wish her the very best with her future endeavors and have every confidence that her star will continue to rise.

Good riddance.
Anita Marks a "star?" LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Thank you MASN. If you helped decide to remove Ms. Marks or were in any way the reason she left, please give thanks to management for me. I've listened over the years and have never been more turned off by anyone on the radio by her style and apparent know-it-all "I've got my sources" attitude. Plain and simply, it just didn't wash in Baltimore. Since baseball is beginning to heat up, how about filtering all 3 of the gentlemen from the Tom Davis Show, Tom, Phil and Dave and continue to give Baltimore/Wash. some of their own who know sports. I'm sure the blend with Scott will be perfect. Then, as Football Season nears, you'll not have to change as all 3 are extremely versatile, or give more time to Matte and Laird. Leave Zinno as the #3 voice who "stirs it up" once in a while. I particularly liked it when Zinno would call Ms. Marks out when she was so clearly wrong so often. We know you had to "do nice" in your announcement, but really, did you have to put something about "her star shining?" Are you kidding me? We'll see her in Buffalo next. That won't last either. It's more like the movie THE SHINING!
Scott Garceau is a problem as well. He does not interview the Ravens and knows very little about the NHL.
There were a lot of times when Anita Marks drove me absolutely nuts. A lot of negative things I would have said to her if I had the opportunity. Now that it's over, I don't feel the need to bring that up. I'm happy that she's moving on somewhere else, but I wish her luck.
I only listened to the show for her. I'm very upset & will miss her.
I hope she keeps her fans updated on her many websites. I'm stuggling
bad with this news.
love always

thank goodness she was the worst person i have ever heard on the radio
Bob----ur an idiot and you're selfish and may have bosses to answer to as soon as the ratings bottom out!!
Good job letting the only excitement of the show leave: great negotiating skills;}
signing off a devoted anita fan
I wish her the best...She provided some "out of town" opinions and thoughts on MD sports. I didn't always agree, but she didn't hold back and certainly wasn't always a "Homer" when it came to discussing our teams. That in itself made for good discussions and comments from the fans.

My would like to see Amber theo harris take her place.
This seems a rather abrupt departure. Didn't she just sign a new contract over the summer?
I think there's more than meets the eye about this departure but I won't therorize about it publically.
She's brought absolutely ZERO to the table. Her leaving is long overdue. I am thrilled to hear this!
give jeremy a show anita marks leaving is great news
Not a terrible person, just couldn't really hold her own when it came to a sports topic. It usually ended with "Well I know all the stats say otherwise, but I still think he is the better player..." and then not back up that opinion.
I speak for most of the Masn audience when I say thank you for letting her go. She was not in-touch with the Baltimore public. I would love to see Tom Davis do more then a once a week show, if he would be open to that idea. At least get him in there a few times a week with Scott. I also think Amber wold be a great candidate. If not then I hope the position is filled "in-house" as the rest of the Masn motley crew are all as likeable as they are knowledgeable. Thanks again , glad to have you guys back on my radio for the afternoon drive.
