"MASN All Access" podcast: Making sense of winless road trip

Well, there's no way to really sugarcoat it, but the Orioles are not playing great. After an 0-6 road trip in California, the Birds are now 8-26 on the season.

Paul Mancano and I are back on the "MASN All Access" podcast to try to make sense of the West Coast swing on the Orioles' off-day.

MAA-podcast-logo-sidebar.jpgYes, it doesn't look good right now. But there are some positives we point to as the Orioles come back home. Manny Machado is playing really well. Mark Trumbo has been hitting strong since his return from the disabled list. Pedro Álvarez's resurgence at the plate has been a boost for the lineup. Kevin Gausman pitched the game of his life on Saturday night. And Alex Cobb is coming around with two strong outings in back-to-back starts.

Also, the schedule for the upcoming homestand maybe favorable for the O's, as they'll play their next seven games against the Royals and Rays, who are both also under .500. Who knows? Maybe the warm weather and the friendly confines of Camden Yards will help the Orioles put together a handful of wins before mid-May.

We also hear from Buck Showalter and Adam Jones on the club's recent slide and their thoughts one how to turn it around.

And to wrap it up on a lighthearted note, Paul brings his new game of "Would You Watch That Show?" to the Orioles side and pitches me O's-themed TV shows.
