Dave Trembley talks with Gary and Buck after the O's 7-5 win
Berken, now 2-9, gave up five hits and three runs over six innings. He allowed back-to-back solo homers to Vernon Wells and Alex Rios in the second.
The O's took the lead with a four-run 6th that put Berken in position to get a win.
The bottom of the order started that rally when Matt Wieters drew a walk and Cesar Izturis singled. Later, with the bases loaded, Nick Markakis ripped a shot off the glove of first baseman Lyle Overbay that went for a two-run double. The play was scored an error at first and later changed to a two-run double.
Aubrey Huff's RBI single tied the game 3-3 and a Nolan Reimold RBI groundout put the Orioles ahead.
The Birds added three in the 8th on RBI's from Reimold, Weiters and Ty Wigginton to lead 7-3. Toronto scored twice in the last of that inning to make it 7-5.
Jim Johnson got a save by pitching a scoreless ninth. It was his first save chance since the George Sherrill trade.
Losing pitcher Ricky Romero gave up four runs over six innings. He is 0-2, 4.66 in three starts vs. the Orioles.
