Chris Tillman discusses his solid outing in the O's walk-off 4-2 win over the Rays
The gun - Carl Crawford, the AL stolen base leader in four of the last six seasons, was thrown out trying to steal second twice tonight by catcher Matt Wieters.
This is just the second time in his career Crawford has been thrown out twice in the same game. Gerald Laird of Texas first did it on April 10, 2007.
Crawford, who has 56 steals on the year, was caught stealing tonight by Wieters in the 4th and 6th innings.
Melvin Mora was 2 for 4 tonight with a single and double. He is 6 for 15 during a four-game hit streak and, over his last 15 games, is batting .345-3-9.
Luke Scott went 1 for 3 with an RBI double. In this series, Scott is 4 for 10 with a homer and 4 RBI.
The O's improve to 36-38 in home games and 12-17 in games decided by two runs.
A different year - The O's improve to 7-6 on the year vs. Tampa (3-15 last year vs. Rays). They are 5-3 at home vs. the Rays and improve their lead in the all-time series to 103-96.
The O's have now won four of their last six games, six of the past ten and are 12-13 over the previous 25 games.
Tonight's attendance was 10,548. Time of game was 2:22, but that does not count the rain delay of one hour and 40 minutes in the bottom of the 8th.
Tampa has lost 13 of its last 14 games and 16 of 20. Tampa is 13-24 since August 7th. The Rays are 2-14 in September.
The Orioles have scored 38 runs over the last six games.
