Buck Showalter talks with the media about the O's 4-2 loss to the White Sox
Berken gave up the tie run on an A.J. Pierzynski double in the seventh and Chicago made it 3-2 on an Alex Rios single in the eighth. The Sox added an insurance run in the ninth. Berken has now been scored on in six of his last eight outings and has given up 10 ER over his past 11 innings. The O's fall to 4-1 under Showalter, 22-34 at home and 36-74 on the year. Millwood gave up just one run and four hits over six innings. It's the first time this year Millwood had allowed less than two runs in a start and his ERA entering tonight was 9.18 over his past ten starts. O's starters have now recorded five consecutive quality starts for the first time since April 28 to May 3, 2008. The starters' ERA is 2.14 over the five games. The White Sox have now won 10 of their last 13 games and are a Major League-best, 39-14 since June 9. Winning pitcher Gavin Floyd gave up two runs over seven innings. He entered with a mark of 5-2, 1.06 since June 8. In game three of the four-game series, Sunday at 1:35, Jeremy Guthrie (5-11, 4.21) pitches vs. Mark Buehrle (10-8, 4.05)
