Nats reinstate Chad Trady from DL, option Corey Brown to Syracuse

The Washington Nationals today returned from rehab and reinstated outfielder Chad Tracy from the 15-Day Disabled List and optioned outfielder Corey Brown to Syracuse of the Triple-A International League. Nationals Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo made the announcement. Tracy, who missed the last 55 contests with a right adductor strain, is batting .265 (13-for-49) with three doubles, three home runs and 12 RBI in 32 games this season with the Nationals. As a pinch hitter in 2012, he is 6-for-18 with a homer and nine RBI (tied for second in MLB). Tracy batted .351 (13-for-37) with a home run and five RBI in 12 games during his rehab assignment with Syracuse and Single-A Potomac. The 32-year-old hit .474 (9-for-19) with a homer and three RBI in six games over the past week with Syracuse. Brown, 26, batted .188 (3-for-16) with a double, a home run and two RBI in nine games with Washington this season.
