Bernadina, Solano a part of Nats lineup (Werth scratched)

We're back at Nats Park bright and early this morning, thanks to a 12:05 p.m. scheduled first pitch. The Nationals are having their annual Dream Gala tonight, an event that benefits the Dream Foundation. Players, coaches and staff will need to toss on their tuxes and make their way over to Shakespeare Theatre Company's Sidney Harman Hall after today's game, making for a long day, but one that will benefit a good cause. Jhonatan Solano will be behind the plate for the Nats today, this being a day game after a night game and all. Kurt Suzuki will get the day off. Roger Bernadina will also get his first start since coming down with an infection in his left eye that caused him to be scratched from Wednesday's game against the Phillies. Bernadina's eye has improved in the last couple of days and he's played in the last two games as a defensive replacement for Steve Lombardozzi late in the game. Update: Jayson Werth has been scratched from today's lineup. No reason has been given as of yet. Bernadina will move to right field and hit sixth, while Lombardozzi will play left and bat seventh. Werth dealt with a right hamstring strain this season, and missed 28 games from May 3 through June 4 because of the hamstring issue. He's started every game since his return from the DL, but will be out of the lineup today. Werth had been seeing Dr. Keith Pyne, a physical therapist, lately, but manager Davey Johnson said before today's game that he thinks Werth's hamstring wasn't posing a problem. "No, I think he's all right there," Johnson said. "I think he's fine." I'll pass along more information on Werth as I get it. Dan Haren starts for the Nats today, looking to get his 5.72 ERA heading back in the right direction. Haren is 4-8 on the season. The Rockies will send right-hander Jhoulys Chacin (5-3, 4.26 ERA) to the mound.
