With Opening Day of the Orioles' 2010 season only days away, a few lucky O's fans are looking forward to getting their first glimpse of the Birds in person at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg.
But most Orioles fans will be here in Baltimore, or watching the game on MASN from their homes. You might have friends, family or neighbors who are big Orioles fans; you might even watch the 2010 opener with them, but it won't be quite the same as experiencing the excitement with all of Charm City live from Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
While that day will come on Friday, April 9, you can get close to the feeling of a home opener at the Orioles Season Opener "First Pitch Party" at the ESPN Zone in Baltimore's Inner Harbor.
MASNsports.com's Steve Melewski will host the event, which kicks off at 6:00 p.m. and won't stop until the last out of the O's-Rays game on Tuesday, April 6.
Join former Orioles Al Bumbry, Joe Orsulak, and Bill Swaggerty for Q&A and autograph sessions; watch Kevin Millwood throw out the first pitch of the 2010 season will fellow Orioles fans; grab some prizes from O's ballgirls and ballboys who will be there handing out giveaway items (including autographed memorabilia and tickets to future games!); and hang out with the Oriole Bird as the O's take on the Tampa Bay Rays.
One fan will even win the chance to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Orioles game on April 13.
The ESPN Zone will be decked out O's style and will feature baseball-themed drink and appetizer specials as well.
So if you don't have any plans for 2010 Opening Day, reign in the other O's fans you know and check out the First Pitch Party at the ESPN Zone in Baltimore.
Only five more days Bird fans and Go O's!
