MASN announces spring training broadcast schedule, will televise "NatsFest 2011"

MASN, the television home of the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles, has announced its 2011 spring training schedule. The network will televise 10 spring training games - five for each team - and all will appear on MASN's dedicated high-definition channel, MASN HD. Kicking off the baseball season on MASN HD, the Nationals will face the Atlanta Braves on March 6 in Viera, Florida. MASN's preseason Nationals schedule will include four other games from Space Coast Stadium, the team's Grapefruit League home: March 11 against the Houston Astros; March 12 against the New York Yankees; March 20 against the Detroit Tigers; and March 25 against the St. Louis Cardinals. MASN's Orioles schedule will feature five home games from Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Florida, beginning with a March 7 contest in prime time versus the American League East rival Yankees, airing at 7 p.m. MASN will also broadcast Orioles games March 14 against the Pittsburgh Pirates; March 15 against the Astros; March 19 against the Philadelphia Phillies; and March 27 against the Boston Red Sox. All of the afternoon games will be replayed on the same day in prime time on MASN HD.
