Orioles looking to end a four-game Rogers Centre losing streak today

This afternoon, the Orioles are trying to win at a ballpark that has often been a house of horrors for them - Toronto's Rogers Centre. The Orioles are just 7-33 in their last 40 games there. During this season though, the Orioles have won seven of nine road AL East series. But one of the two they lost was in Toronto, when they were swept by an 18-9 score May 28-30. In fact, since winning their first two games there this year, the Orioles enter today with a four-game Rogers Centre losing streak, during which they have been outscored 27-11. Thanks to a 5-0 home record vs. the Blue Jays, the Orioles lead the season series 7-4 with seven to play. If the O's can go 3-4 or better in those games, they'll have their first season series win against Toronto since 2004. The Orioles are 21-14 this year in games where their opponent starts a lefty, and they are facing one today in J.A Happ. The last time they had a winning record in those games was 1997 (33-19). Meanwhile, most minor leagues play their final regular season games today. One exception on the O's farm is short-season Single-A Aberdeen, which will end its year at Vermont Wednesday. Double-A Bowie is the only O's club that is playoff-bound and the Baysox will host Akron Wednesday night at Prince George's Stadium with Dylan Bundy scheduled to start that game. The Single-A Frederick Keys are playing their season finale this afternoon at home. Last year at this time, Frederick was on its way to the Carolina League championship, led by Manny Machado and Jonathan Schoop, along with a top pitching staff and Brian Ward behind the plate. This season, the Keys are 61-77, but their great fans have still been pouring into Harry Grove Stadium. Frederick has drawn 307,672 fans and that ranks first in the league. The Keys last led the Carolina League in attendance in 1994. Frederick hasn't won four games in a row all year. They are 0-9 in games played going for that fourth win. The Keys would have a four-game win streak with a victory today.
