Orioles to host LGBTQ Pride Night at Oriole Park on June 22

In celebration of LGBTQ Pride Month, fans are invited to attend LGBTQ Pride Night at Oriole Park on Tuesday, June 22, when the Orioles take on the Houston Astros at 7:05 p.m. ET. LGBTQ Pride Night ticket packages, which include a ticket to the game and a pair of O's Pride Sunglasses, are available for purchase at visit Orioles.com/Pride.

A portion of proceeds from each LGBTQ Pride Night ticket package will benefit Moveable Feast, a Baltimore-based nonprofit that provides nutritious foods and other services in order to preserve quality of life for people with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening conditions. Additionally, the Orioles will run an online auction featuring game-used memorabilia and autographed pride caps to benefit Moveable Feast. The auction will begin Monday, June 28, at 5:00 p.m. and will run through Sunday, July 4, at 10:00 p.m. at Orioles.com/Auction.

The Orioles will welcome Olanrele Oni, Board President of Unmatched Athlete, to throw out the first pitch. The Maryland-based non-profit encourages youth who identify as LGBTQ+ to participate in sports and fitness, and to explore their athletic creativity and become well-versed student athletes that excel beyond their time in school. The national anthem will be performed by a Baltimore-based trio from the Pride Center, comprised of Jamie Boyd, Virya Shavasana, and Barrett Johnson.

During Tuesday night's game, the Orioles will honor Merrick Moses as the Birdland Community Hero. Moses, who volunteers as the Board President for the Pride Center of Maryland, has helped take the organization from the brink of closing its doors after more than four decades, to helping the organization get a new state of the art building. The Pride Center's mission is to be a catalyst for uniting and empowering sexual and gender minorities in Maryland, and to advocate for a better quality of life for the entire community. Moses is one of the only trans men to lead a large statewide LGBTQ organization in the country and is an inspiration to the LGBTQ community nationwide.

Throughout the week, the Warehouse lights will be in rainbow colors to show support of the LGBTQ community, and during Tuesday night's game, Flag Court in right field will feature pride flags. During the evening's game, in-park music will feature a curated playlist selection of local LGBTQ musical artists.
