Setting our Orioles guest blogger rotation for 2016

For baseball fans, the two most cherished words in the English language are, "Play ball!" That cry signifies the start of a new season full of renewed hope. For MASNsports.com, that also means getting our coverage plans in order for what we hope will be a memorable season of Orioles baseball.

Since 2011, we've shared our pages with some of the myriad of guest bloggers who write daily - and often more frequently - about the O's. If there's an opinion to be stated, a move to be critiqued, a prospect to be broken down, chances are the folks who blog regularly about all things orange and black will have done so.

Camden Yards daytime.jpgThe Orioles blogosphere (or is that blog-O's-phere?) has morphed into a quite an interesting online community, one that has forged friendships, season ticket consortiums and plenty of postgame discussions over frothy mugs at Dempsey's Brew Pub & Restaurant.

Once again this season, we'll invite you to check out the talented guest bloggers who will be part of our daily in-season coverage. Some of them are familiar faces, others will be new names. But we hope you'll check out their contributions to MASNsports.com - and click through to take a look at their sites, too.

Holdover Andrew Stetka of Eutaw Street Report will be our opening day starter, writing on Mondays beginning with April 4, the day the Orioles host the Twins in their season opener. He'll be followed by newcomers Ryan Romano of Camden Depot on Tuesdays and Dillon Atkinson of Orioles Uncensored on Wednesdays. Two more veterans round out our rotation, Zach Wilt of Baltimore Sports Report on Thursdays and Matthew Taylor of Roar From 34 on Fridays.

Baseball season is almost here, as is another season of our guest blogger initiative. We hope you'll give these hardworking bloggers a read and that you'll feel free to comment on their blogs.
