Not a bad way to extend a 16-game extra innings regular season win streak to 17.
Matt Wieters hit a grand slam with no outs in the last of the 10th as the Orioles beat Tampa Bay 10-6 to win the series. Wieters went 2-for-5 on the night.
Nick Markakis led off the tenth with a single and singles by Manny Machado, on a bunt and Adam Jones, off the wall, followed. Then Wieters blasted one out to right center for the walk-off win.
Last season, Tampa Bay left-hander David Price gave up just one run over 22 1/3 innings against the Orioles on his way to a 20-win season and Cy Young award.
But in 2013, the Orioles have faced him twice and won both games against the Rays.
The Orioles went to the last of the seventh tonight down 5-4 but J.J. Hardy led off the frame with a double off Price and Tampa called on lefty Jake McGee out of the bullpen. Steve Pearce, who was 0-for-15 this season, turned around a 3-2 fastball for a two-run homer and 6-5 lead.
That lead lasted just two batters into the eighth as James Loney hit a solo homer off Darren O'Day for a 6-6 tie.
Miguel Gonzalez, making his third start, allowed four runs over the first three innings. Working on five day's rest, he allowed solo homers in the first to Desmond Jennings and Evan Longoria as Tampa homered in the opening inning in each game of the series.
Gonzalez, whose ERA vs. Tampa was 1.40 over his previous four starts, went 5 2/3 innings, giving up eight hits, five runs (four earned) and allowed three homers during his 101-pitch outing.
In the series, O's starters pitched to an ERA of 5.17 with none getting through the sixth inning.
Earlier, Nolan Reimold hit a two-run homer for the Orioles, who also got an RBI single from Chris Davis and RBI double from Manny Machado.
The Orioles moved back over .500 at 8-7 and are now 7-5 against the AL East. They are 10-4 against Tampa since last Aug. 4 and will welcome the Dodgers Friday night to start a three-game interleague series.
