The Orioles announced this morning that they'll hold interviews for ballboys and ballgirls for the 2010 season on Saturday, March 6 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
They're on the lookout for "outgoing and athletic men and women ages 18 and older" and candidates should be "personable, customer-service oriented and available to work the entire 2010 season."
Those interested in serving as ballboys and ballgirls for the O's this season should head to Camden Yards for the interviews beginning at noon on March 6.
Dress for the interviews is business casual, and you should consider bringing along a resume if you have one, as it's recommended by the ballclub.
When you arrive, take advantage of the complimentary parking available in the North Warehouse lot (the small parking lot at the corner of the Warehouse and the Sports Legends Museum) and enter through the Bud Light Warehouse Bar entrance located on the eastern side of the Warehouse.
After a little paperwork and the interview, select candidates will be invited back for a fielding tryout at a later date.
And on one final note: If there's anything I've learned in working for and writing about the Orioles, it's that jobs with the team aren't quite as hard to come by as most people expect. Don't miss out on a job with the O's because you assume you won't get it or that there aren't any available - was my dad the only one who constantly said, "Can't you at least call and ask?"
So good luck to those who interview on the 6th (or any time in between!)
