Bobbleheads, Bryce Harper Chia Pet highlight 2016 Nationals promotional schedule

If you've got a thing for bobbleheads, the Nationals will make you happy in 2016 by giving you the opportunity to add a few new pieces to your collection.

The Nats have released their 2016 promotional schedule, and it includes six bobbleheads - two depicting Max Scherzer's no-hitters (May 23 and Aug. 26) along with nodders of new manager Dusty Baker (July 19), a Racing President (July 3) and National League MVP Bryce Harper (May 11). There will also be a fans' choice bobblehead issued on Sept. 9.

Other highlights of the schedule include Nationals sunglasses on opening day (April 7), a Teddy Roosevelt window cling (April 26), a fiugurine of Jayson Werth and canine friend Magnus (June 27), a Harper Chia Pet (July 5), a Harper kids jersey (July 24) and a Nationals beer stein (Sept. 10).

There will be the usual Signature Sundays, Pups in the Park, Kids Run the Bases, Dollar Dog Nights and patriotic observances that have become part of the baseball tapestry in D.C. "Star Wars" Day - with a giveaway item to be determined - will return on Aug. 13. Other theme nights will include '80s Night (June 10), Rat Pack Night (July 2), Oktoberfest (Sept. 10) and Election Night (Sept. 30).

"We seek to enhance the excitement on the field by creating an equally engaging experience in the ballpark, and a big part of that is our promotional giveaways," said Valerie Camillo, chief revenue and marketing officer for the Nationals. "This season, as fans enter the gates, we will hand out fun collectibles, items for kids, clothing and electronics. We are also expanding our popular lineup of theme nights, which launched last year with "Star Wars" and '80s Night, by adding three new events for fans, including a Rat Pack-themed evening."

Single-game tickets for 2016 will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. Tickets may be purchased at nationals.com. by calling 888-632-NATS (6287) or by visiting the main box office at Nationals Park, located at Half and N Streets, S.E.

Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase single-game tickets on Thuirsday, Feb. 25 via an exclusive presale. Season plan holders will receive information next week and fans who become season ticket holders before Feb. 25 will have the opportunity to take part in the presale.
