The Orioles are looking to win their first four-game series at Fenway Park since Aug. 8-10, 2003, when they took three of four. Their last series win in Boston was Sept. 20-22, 2010, when they took two of three. The Orioles are going for their fifth road series win of the season. A win tonight would give the Orioles their third consecutive series win, a feat they haven't accomplished since Sept. 3-15, 2010, when they won four straight series (vs. Tampa Bay, at New York, at Detroit and vs. Toronto). Vladimir Guerrero has hit .300 or better in 13 of his last 14 major league seasons (he hit .295 for the Angels in 2009). If he averages four at-bats per game over the last eight games, he'd have to go 14-for-32 to reach .300. Guerrero has batted .413 (26-for- 63) with six doubles and two home runs in his last 15 games. He's hit in nine straight games, going 14-for-37 (.378) with a double, triple, homer, four RBIs, six runs scored and four multi-hit games. Guerrero needs five more hits to become the all-time hits leader among Dominican-born players. Guerrero (2,582 hits in 16 seasons) trails only Julio Franco (2,586 hits in 23 seasons.) Robert Andino's .316 average (12-for-38) against Boston is his best average against any American League East opponent this year. Jeremy Accardo has surrendered two inside-the-park home runs this year (Jacoby Ellsbury on Monday and Evan Longoria on June 12). According to Elias, Pat Hentgen is the last Orioles pitcher to allow two in the same year. Cincinnati's Mike Leake also has allowed two inside-the-park homers this year. Jim Johnson has allowed a run in just two of his last 16 outings, posting a 1.61 ERA over the span and picking up a save in six of his last seven outings. Pedro Strop has allowed two hits in 7 2/3 scoreless innings in his first eight appearances with the Orioles. Tommy Hunter is 2-1 with an 8.31 ERA in four career starts and 17 1/3 innings against the Red Sox. Hunter is 1-1 with an 11.88 ERA in two starts and 8 1/3 innings at Fenway Park, including nine earned runs in 1 2/3 innings on Aug. 4, 2008 in his first game in Boston. Josh Beckett is 7-3 with a 3.76 ERA in 16 career starts against the Orioles. Adam Jones is 10-for-29 (.345) with two doubles and a home run lifetime against Beckett. Andino is 3-for-6. J.J. Hardy is 3-for-9 with a home run. Guerrero is 11-for-46 (.239) with two doubles and two home runs. Nolan Reimold, who's on the bench tonight, is 0-for-9. Luke Scott, who's on the disabled list, is 10-for-23 (.435) with three homers and seven RBIs.
