Duquette on Damon, Ohlman update

SARASOTA, Fla. - Orioles executive vice president Dan Duquette may have delivered the final blow to the ongoing rumors that the club might sign free agent Johnny Damon. The following exchange took place this morning as Duquette walked past a small group of reporters outside the clubhouse. Reporter: "Are you going to sign Johnny Damon?" Duquette (laughing): "I don't think so. I already signed Johnny Damon when he was 28." Meanwhile, catcher Michael Ohlman will be examined Friday by team orthopedist Dr. John Wilckens before deciding whether to undergo surgery on his right shoulder or attempt to rehab it. Ohlman is seeking a second opinion after meeting with a doctor earlier today. His parents have joined him here. An MRI revealed damage to the shoulder, though the club hasn't revealed the extent of it. Ohlman was injured Tuesday when his truck flipped over after a driver cut him off. Here's the Braves' lineup: Luis Durango CF Martin Prado 2B Freddie Freeman 1B Eric Hinske LF David Ross C Jason Heyward RF Joey Terdoslavich 3B Evan Gattis DH Tyler Pastornicky SS Mike Minor LHP
